1983 WCW Starcade.
In one of my favorite matches and one of the most brutal of all time was ”Rowdy” Roddy Piper vs Greg “The Hammer” Valentine in a Dog Collar match.
Before there was hardcore, there was this match.
An absolute brutal match but it had great psychology and innovative use of offensive.
I picked Ambrose and Cesaro due to Jim Ross’s likening of them to Piper and Johnny Valentine (Greg’s father).
"Ambrose has always reminded me as having some Brian Pillman and some Roddy Piper in his personality. So, if Ambrose doesn’t get institutionalized (Only kidding) with those perceived personality traits, he’s going to be outstanding. A little of The Loose Cannon and some of Hot Rod equates to money to me."
"Cesaro has that WWE HOFer Johnny Valentine quality of being a methodical starter of a match, being extremely solid and fundamentally sound, and exuding toughness. "
Cesaro and Ambrose would tear up the area. Nothing more needs to be said.
A Dean Ambrose drawing for tamago-raw, because they were nice enough to draw a request for me!
I hope just pencils are okay. I wanted this one to look gritty.
If I were Triple H, I would be scared. When you beat a guy all to hell and he laughs afterwards… Maybe it was a bad idea to beat him up in the first place.
